This is a bad picture
of Larry Schuler I took at the funeral home today. Some Marietta Postal
employees, past and present, will recognize Larry as one of us. Others will
recognize him as a movie and TV actor. He was hotel desk clerks in MY COUSIN
VINNY and MISSISSIPPI BURNING. He also played a uniformed deputy in the TV
series IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT. And many others. When I took his picture he
said, Eddie, usually I charge for someone to take my picture." That
sentence makes it look like we were old friends. To be truthful, when we first saw each other we recognized
each other but neither of us could remember the other one's name. We
reintroduced ourselves.
