Remember the hen and the chick on the floor? This is the same two, but on a different day. I wonder how the little chick managed to get up on the wood rail.
Carolyn, I haven't thought of that. You could be right. In the other picutre in an earlier blog the chick is buried in the mother's feathers with only its little head sticking out. So, I think it does cling to its mother. it seems it would be scary climbing down onto the rail.
