Here we go again!
This video was taken February 2, 2010, at our new smokeless free environment upstairs at the American Legion.
This is another one of my videos.
I know, I know. This is far from perfect. This is a new toy and I am practicing. Who knows, one of the GOBAG members might slip on a banana peel or fall down a flight of stairs or fall out of a window drunk… and it might make America’s Funniest Videos and then I might win and win $100,000... that's what counts!
Seriously, I am still experimenting and don’t know what I’m doing. I hope they get better with time.

That's not too bad for a first effort, Eddie. I only got a little bit seasick....lol
Love the potty training video :)
Which Legion, Eddie, the one on Roswell Rd?
You're going to like doing the videos..:)
Deborah,
Sorry for the delay. We have been at Emory Hospital all day.
Yes, it is the American Legion that appears to be Roswell Street. Actually it is on Gresham Avenue that runs parallel to Roswell Street.
It is behind the old fire station, which was next door to the old Sears.
A little Postal education: It is Roswell Street west of the Big Chicken and Roswell Road east of the Big Chicken.
Deborah,
I forgot to comment about I will like doing the videos. You are right Deborah. I think I am too. Right now I am in a learner's curve, which at times is a sharp U-Turn.
For a while I was downloading fine then suddenly I can't do it anymore... I have to upload from my spot on YouTube. I like to take candid pictures of people being themselves but the only thing is all the background talk is distracting.... so, I am trying to figure out how to isolate my subjects in a non-isolating way - if that makes any sense.
Eddie,
About the videos - just go ahead and film whatever it is that you want. If you don't want the conversation included you can always mute it out - or you can just mute out certain sections - or you can delete the original audio track and add a new audio of your choice - music or whatever you want. I assume that you will be/are using Windows Movie Maker or Adobe Premiere - muting and/or changing audio is easily done while you are making the movie.
At the bottom of the screen you have 2 options - Storyboard or Timeline. Make sure that you are in Timeline mode - this is where you will work with the audio, on the second line.
The first line is for the video, you can also cut out or add new sections of video here.
Deborah,
Thanks for your video advice in put. You have had some excellent videos on your blog CORRIDORS.
Unfortunately, I don't have the program Movie Maker or Adobe Premiere or the commands that go with. What I have is The Flip Camcorder which is slightly bigger than a cigarette pack. My son gave it to me for Christmas. I was terrible sick during December and didn't even try it until New Years Eve. The Flip has it own program that is loaded into your computer. I can connect or splice the different segments I made and before I splice them and can edit out little unknown peices, such as I realized I started each movie, not realizing it, looking at my feet. And their is a title page you can add and a ending page for credits or whatever. I wish there was a tagging ability but I don't think it has that... but I could be wrong, I'm still studying things about it.
Thanks for the suggestions. I wish I could find something on-line that specializes in telling you things you can do with The Flip Recorder.
Eddie,
Well that is even better that your camcorder comes with it's own software - sounds like the program works like Movie Maker or Premiere.
Keep working and playing with it, you will get the hang of it.
You should have Windows Movie Maker, it is a free program that comes with your operating system. It should be in your start menu - go to programs > accessories. If it didn't install, you can install it off of your XP or Vista DVD.
Adobe Premiere has to be purchased - it costs around $90.00 (that's what I paid a few years ago). It's a lot more sophisticated than Movie Maker, has a beautiful user face, plus has many more options. But all of the basics that you need are included with Movie Maker.
Note - There is a difference between Adobe Premiere and Adobe Premiere Pro. Premiere is for home and/or professional use - Premiere Pro also deals with Databases - the cost is.....be prepared to open your wallet - wide.
