January is a Cold Month.

Here are the bottom lines of two sets of statistics: There are more divorces in January and even worse, there are more deaths in January.

What gives?

I think the reason is that January is the first month, right behind the last month.

The last month we pigged out at holiday festivities which we toppled the scales and dared our heart to work harder… and by January is about the time the heart said, I just can’t handle all this anymore - and plopped.

I once read a study was done at several nursing homes of when people died… it was when they finished reading a book; when a certain of “story line” of their soap opera was resolved; on or a day after their birthdays; and of course the crossover to the new year.

The ones that held off until the new year added statistics were added to the ones who stuff themselves them selves to death. And also the ones that died while driving home drunk from a New Years Eve party can be added.

And of course, divorces probably fall under the same category of the new organization plastic boxes the discount stores sell in January – January is the month to reorganize your life.

Judy,
That would be the ultimate alright - organize yourself inside of a box.
