If Ethel America "Janie" /aka "Mama" Petty Hunter was
still alive she would be 96 years old today.
One thing you had to say about her, she stood her ground against
authority, regardless who it was.
Here she is surrounded by my friends Ed West, the late Sam Carsley,
Barbara and Larry White at her and Daddy's 50th Wedding Anniversary. She and Ed West used to love to play telephone
jokes on one another.... one would call the other and pretend to be calling on behalf of
some large company and the other one would usually fall for it until the
giggling gave it away.
