Today Sunday’s Funnies’ is THE BIG IF story first appeared in EC Comics’ FRONTLINE COMBAT. It was written and illustrated by the editor Harvey Kurtzman.
Unlike other war comics of the 50s EC’s war comics did not glamorize war. It showed moral dilemmas, death, and sadness on both sides. THE BIG IF is good example of showing War is Hell.
