Remember last week’s Sunday Funnies? On the cover of EC’s WEIRD SCIENCE comicbook Ray Bradbury is credited for a story that EC did an adaptation on but I said I did not exactly what story they were talking about.
Bhob Stewart did. Bhob is an expert of EC comic books, the inner-workings, the artists, editors, publisher – you name it. Bhop said it was this story, THE MAN WHO WAITS illustrated by Al Williamson.
Al Williamson (1938 – June 2010), just died, less than two months ago, was a great illustrator. He had the perfect style for illustrating epics and the warrior types. Maybe that is why he illustrated Flash Gordon in his career. He and Frank Frazetta collaborated together on some great stories and were friends. He also was a friend of co-artist Wally Wood.
