Kennesaw Mountain - View From the Top

Tuesday we went to the doctor. We had two stops to make before the doctor’s which were much less time than we allowed. When we were approaching the doctor’s parking lot we were almost two hours early.

On a whim we decided to drive up to the top of Kennesaw Mountain. In Sunday’s paper there was a Cobb trivia quiz “So You Think You Know Cobb” by Joe Kirby. One of the questions was how many mountains are there in Cobb? 8.

There were plenty of people walking up and down the mountain. There was a nice level just above the parking lot that had benches that some people were sitting and eating their lunch or just talking.

It was a clear day. We could see Atlanta on the horizon (about 20 miles away), Stone Mountain (about 30 miles away), and in the foreground were all kinds of new developments right in Marietta.

I did not have my camera, but I found the same views from the mountain on the website Kennesaw Mountain Pictures – so, why should we both have taken pictures anyway – these are better than what I would have taken anyway (check it out – more pictures of Kennesaw Mountain):

Great pictures! Thanks for the link. I took some pictures from the overlook on Burnt Mtn back in December and you can see Atlanta and Kennesaw Mountain if you look close. I posted one of those pics today, click to enlarge.

Susan,
You take great pictures!
I also like your neighbor's weather vane you posted yesterday, and also the cemetery.
