Edith Gertrude Jones Woods (1898 - 1986)

This is Anna's great aunt,  Edith Gertrude Jones (1898-1986).  Gertrude is the sister of Anna's grandmother on her mother's side.   She was born in the Alpharetta - Milton area , married near there,  died there,  and is buried at Midway Methodist Church there.   She was a storekeeper.

She lived a short time with Anna's grandmother in Marietta.

At age 47. 20 July 1946, in Forsyth County, Georgia, she married Twigg W. Wood, age 50, she lived 88 years.

3 Young Ladies

This picture appears to be artificially enriched with sepia.

The girl on the left is from the Herron family. You saw a picture of the "Herron family" hoeing by the road and they were all smiles. That picture was also drowning in sepia.
The middle girl is Clyde Martin. Clyde died as a young lady, as mentioned in another photo I displayed in “Clyde’s Gang”, maybe within a year of this picture.
And the girl on the right is Anna’s great aunt on her mother’s mother side, Gertrude Jones.

The picture was probably taken in Milton, Georgia, which was dissolved and taken in by Cumming and Alpharetta, Georgia. But recently came into being again. The Georgia State Legislation can do all kinds of tricks.
