In case you do not know, MAD #24 was the first issue of MAD Magazine. From issue #1 to issued #23 they were all comic books.
Anyway, text by editor Harvey Kurtzman and art by Atlanta's own Jack Davis. (in case you are wondering where in Atlanta did Jack grow up, I think it was where Lenox Square is now, back then it was way out in the country.
