Three Retired Postal Out The Door

Sandi and Hy were my co-workers at the Post Office, Sprayberry Branch.

Poof!  All three of us are gone now.

Sandi's husband, a postal carrier, also retired about the same time she did.  They moved to Kennesaw to be closer to her parents. One Halloween time (she was a window clerk) she dressed up like Steve Urkel.  She looked and walked just like him, uncanny!

Hy was born in North Korea.  When I would first see her every day "Hi Hy!"  Am I a riot or what?

Hy left not long after I did and started a country food buffet in South Carolina.  Then another one, and maybe a third one.
Then she and her family moved back to Marietta and opened up Judy's Home Cooking Country Buffet on Sandy Plains Road.

Hy no longer owns Judy's Home Cooked Country  Buffet on Sandy Plains Road, but I bet she owns a new home cooked country buffet someplace.

Speaking of Postal:

On the date in 1775:

1775 - A postal system was established by the 2nd Continental Congress of the United States. The first Postmaster General was Benjamin Franklin.
