Confederate Cemetery
On Confederate Memorial Day each year all the white only student grammar school kids holding Confederate Battle Flags marched to the Confederate Cemetery and after hearing speeches from ladies of the DOC and local politicians and maybe a patriotic song or two each kid stuck his/her flag into a grave.
The black kids of Lemon Street School did a similar march to the National Cemetery on National Memorial Day.
