Wanda Speaks to the Blackwell Homemakers' Club

I went to the monthly meeting of The Blackwell Homemakers' Club Thursday.   Anna is a member.   Wanda Patterson was invited  to speak on The Cherokee Indians and events leading to their removal to Oklahoma, a.k.a.  "The Trail of Tears". After her presentation, we all know more about the Cherokee Native Americans and empathize with the way there were treated.

Some of you may know Wanda as a  graduate and later English and journalism teacher at Sprayberry High School.  She is a carter member of the Georgia and National Trail of Tears Associations, doing extensive study on the subject

Here is a video of bits and pieces of Wanda's talk.

The food was good too!
