Near the spot this picture was taken was outside the door of Atherton Drug Store before they moved acorss to the other side of Whitlock Avenue. It was not unusual to see Marietta High school teenagers hanging out here. I was a preteen and early teen when I realized the social status of hanging out at Atherton's. By the time they moved across the street I was making my debut.
