This is SMOKE RINGS from EC's THE VAULT OF HORROR, 23rd issue. The artist is Reed Crandall and the story was probably by editor Al Feldstein and publisher Bill Gaines. Al and Bill put their minds together almost every day and collaborated stories. They produced hundreds of stories and stole the rest. "Everybody stole from each other back then." Bill Gaines said.
