I remember before a funeral I was sitting with Roy and Stanley on the front porch of Mayes
Ward Funeral Home. They both faced Hell on the Beach, at Normandy, France, June the 6, 1944, seeing near the same: killings. Roy talked about it a lot through the years, and Stanley did not want to talk about it all, which he told Roy that day. I suppose the subject was changed.
