Today's Date In History - June the 2nd.
First, on this date in 1835, P.T. Barnum and his circus begin touring the United Sates.
P.T. Barnum is responsible for the quote "There is a sucker every minute." Every minute since he has been proven right. The man was a visionary.

Secondly, On this date in 1924 U.S. Citizenship was granted to all American Indians. Because the Indians, as a group, were on this continent first, it seems it should be the other way around.

Barnum had a sign up that said "This was to the egress."
Most people had no idea that meant the way out!
I am doing a report on Barnum. He also said that " When Entertaining the public it is best to have an elephant" He also wanted to read his own obiturary sothey wrote it early so he could read it.
