1933 Nazis stage public book burnings in Germany

And it happens now and then here in the Land of the Free.

The very idea of book burnings always imprint on me the idea of communism. It's very sad that a society would want to ban knowledge or destroy literature.

In a way, it's kind of funny - because no matter how many books that are burned or banned - somewhere, someone has a copy of it that will one day resurface.

You can go online and read many banned books right now for free.

When a book is banned or burned, it only sparks the public's interest.
