This story, "PEACH OF A PLOT" is from EC Comic’s The Vault of Horror number 31, June-July 1953. The art is by Jack Davis. The story was probably created by publisher Bill Gaines and editor Albert Fieldstein tossing ideas back and forth – that is how most their stories were collaborated, unless they stole it.
The story has sort of an O’Henry twist to it…. Not exactly cutting ones hair and buying a comb kind of thing, but a twist anyway.
