Trick or Treaters' Report
By remembering the past we did not think we would get many trick or treaters. Therefore we didn't buy much candy. We did not want to be stuck with a bunch of candy the day after.
We planned it very good. We had about ten kids to come by. We had one candy bar left over... but not for long.
As we opened the door Willow stood near us, not growling, but just looking dumbstruck, and a little kid saw her and screamed in terror, "DON'T LET THE DOG OUT!!! DON'T LET THE DOG OUT!"
A little girl, well not so little, I think she was tall for her age, was wearing a coat or a jacket. She was aware her costume did not show and wanted to explain: "I'm suppose to be a pirate but my mom made we wear a coat."
After the last trick or treater we turned out the front light, locked the door, and loaded the shotgun.

We have not been at home for the past 2 years for trick-or-treaters, and I rather like it that way!
Judy,
I think about 3 years ago we went to a friends wiener roast out by a lake - a ploy to keep their grandchildren under their wings - and it was much more enjoyable than hearing the dreaded doorbell ring.
