Henry the Expeller

Henry Heimlich was born this day in 1920.*

Dr. Henry Heimlich had the theory that sudden burst of air pressure through the esophagus would expel the object obstructing the breathing flow.

It worked and thousands of lives have been saved since.

Also lovingly referred to as the "hiney-lick-maneuver" in logs of jokes. Give you one guess as to how that works. Thanks for coming to my party on Saturday. It was great to see you guys.

Tammy beat me to it.

How can I get you to come to my party?

Tammy,
Thank you for having us! We enjoyed every minute of it. I appreciated what Allen said during it all - that there were "several levels of conversation going on at the same time."

Si,
Well, it wouldn't be hard to get us there - being in the Chesapeake Bay at all. You are surrounded by history... and some of my ancestors' stomping grounds such as my Pettys and Trammells.
