Actual Conversation

Actual Conversation that took place in the Hunter household that could have been just as easily been in the Bumstead household:

"Have you seen my moneky wrench with the red handle?"

"No, did you look in the wrench box?"

"Yes, it is not there. I looked everyplace it could be"

"If you put it back where it belongs you wouldn't be looking for it."

...mumble...

Ten minutes later

"(proudly) Here it is! I found it!"

"Where did you find it?"

"In the middle of the work table where anybody could see it."

There's a condition of mostly men our age whereby we don't even see things if they're not where they're expected to be. They might as well be invisible.

Women rarely have this condition and that's why they can find things for us. Except younger women and it's only about men around our age. We can stare at them all we want and they don't see us. We might as well be invisible.
