Here is James and his wife Bessie. Bessie is/was* the granddaughter of John Rafas and Lilly B. Hill Hunter. John Rafas Hunter was the son of William A. Trammell/Hunter. James worked at a steel mill in Birmingham.
They look like a happy hyper couple. They had three sons. Here is James balancing one of the sons on his hand.
I met one of the sons, two years ago, at a Ray family reunion in Franklin, NC. He and his wife were very congenial . We have talked on the phone a few times before. He and wife live in Tennessee, near the Alabama border. We shared genealogy information about the Hunters.
