This is a distant relative, John Franklin Petty (1856-?) and his wife Adeline Woody (1859-1955). I think one look at them and you know they lived off the land. John has muscles in that neck from a lot of lifting and straining.
After the married they moved to Wyoming and had ten children.
In the book "PROGRESSIVE MEN OF WYOMING": They moved to Sand Creek, Laromie County, Wyoming in 1887. Later owning a farm on the Wheatland Flats.

Do you have any Mormon connections out that way? I have some distant relatives out west but don’t know them- I only know of them. I think there are some Mormon folks out in Utah I am kin to. At any rate, I am sure you well know they are big on genealogy in the church.
The really old pix you are picking up are phenomenal. How long have you been doing genealogy?
Steve,
I have two LDS connections, blood relative speaking.
My Killina family one family strolled out to Utah, I think it was, or it may be been Arizonal.
And my mother's family, the Petty's have one branch that live in Salt Lake City.
I have been doing genealogy since 1975 when my oldest son was born, and have been picking up pictures since the. Of coure, Anna's side came from her mother's collection, which I scanned just about everything she has, but not all - yet.
Suzanne,
He did. He keeps raving about it.
I know little about my Father, but I do know where he was born, Wheatland Whyoming......
