We arrived early for the Bear in the Square Bluegrass
Festival in Dahlonega. I think it was
to start at 10:am; we were there at 8am.
We had pleasant conversations with several of the bluegrass players who
came from points all over Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. While we were talking to a music group from
Alabama I heard a distant roar. It got
louder and closer. Then, I realized that
roar had a distinct rhythm. It became louder and they rhythm was plainly a
cadence. Then the students from North
Georgia College students materialized singing
cadence. We jumped out of the way
and I pulled out my camera: Lookie!
