1954 Marietta Yellow Pages S to T





I think everybody male in their late 60s who grew up in Marietta remembers what Service Station they and their families dealt with in 1954. That was every early teenager's passion: Cars.... which meant you naturally learned about the service stations you were exposed to.

That is what the S's mostly were, Service Stations.

But wait! There are other a few other businesses that start with S too.

SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THE JOB AT THE BOMBER PLANT IN THE EARLY 40'S AND SELLING POTS AND PANS IN THE LATE 40'S, MR. ROPER, SENIOR, MY DAD, OWNED THE PURE STATION ON HIGHWAY 41 WHERE THE KRYSTAL IS NOW LOCATED.HE HAD AN OLD A-MODEL SIMILA TO MINE, BUT IT WAS ALWAYS KINDA NOT WORKING RIGHT.MORE FODDER DAMAGE FOR THE BRAIN. HOPE YOU MAKE IT THIS PM.
