Yesterday you saw my father's two youngest brothers, Dick and Stanley, very young. In this picture they have grown up and joined the services to defend their country in WWII. They also switched sides. now, it Stanly is on the left.

Don’t say switched sides, I will think they were helping out Tojo.
Its funny Eddie, Bird and I were watching a documentary about Hitler the other day and we saw some footage of Normandy. We both instinctively pumped our fists and looked at the flag on our mantle from my dad’s coffin. How in hell did we get to where we are now?
Steve, By the way, Stanley (on the right) was on the beaches of Normandy on D-day. One time at the funeral home I overheard an uncle on my mother's side who was also there on D-day started talking to Stanley about it and Stanley flatly told him he didn't want to talk about it. That was 44 years later.

Steve,
Good question.

Stanley is still cute!!
Judy,
I always thought Stanley, as he aged, looked a lot like Richard Egan.
Dad was at DDay +...in other words not on the beach but at the beachhead....
