Steve, The Peachtree Road Race is the morning of every 4th of July. It is a great experience to be part of it. If you decide you want to, you need to send in your applications almost as soon as they are printed in the AJC, which I think is in March or April. You probably have between one to three weeks to send it in before the maxium number is reached.
Gerbil, Thank you. And not like you on your birthday, I do feel the difference from yesterddat when I was 64... then I felt like Paul McCartney - today, Old Man Moses.
I'd love to do the peachtree but I make every effort to get OUT of these mountains for the 4th of july. EVERY year around the 4th, there is a fatal wreck within walking distance from my home...traffic backs up for miles and miles and miles.
Bird, Thank you. I don't feel 65, maybe 75. You could get a head start on the bad traffic a day or so.... but if you have my luck that is when every body else also got a head start, so that is when all the wrecks will be.
Steve, You had a lot on your mind this morning. I knew you wished be the best, whether it be a happy birthday or a happy Sunday, or a Happy Happy Day (my sister's dog is named Happy).
Michael, Thank you- but I actually look twice as bad - that picture was probably taken about 20 years ago, about 1985, 86, or 87. 1987 was the last year I ran in the Peachtree.

Oh Lord i can not believe I forgot to tell you happy birthday.
But I want to look young enough to get into theaters at a child's price then spring back to my wrinkled self on Wednesdays to get my Senior Discount!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! I was at the beach, you know, so I had an excuse not giving that wish on your day. Hope it was a good one!
Judy,
Thank you!
It was nice, very nice, considering it is the one that makes me officially elderly.
I hope you had a nice time at the beach.
Happy belated Ed. Hope I make it that far and look half as good when I get there.
Enjoy!
