I don't know if you remember or not, but in the 1956 OLYMPIAN, THE HUDDLE HOUSE ad, it was very similar, except it was the football team all reaching across the table for supposedly the drinks. What if it wasn't the drinks, then it would mean they were reaching out to grab the waitress.
So, what are the cheerleaders reaching for?

Nell, I'm trying to remember her name. The girl next to her is Polly and I know a couple others. I know them, but they don't know me. Claim any of them, step forward and claim your share of their family's fortune.
Eddie, since my dad was in the 1956 Olympian, i can say they were probably, most certainly, reaching for the waitress! haha.
