Turner Chapel long ago

This was Turner Chapel. If my memory is correct it was on the corner of Lawrence and Waddell Streets. It was a predominately Black church. In my formative years I used to walk across the street from it, frankly, I was more curious of the pool hall on that I could see through the opened door.

Turner Chapel has been bulldozed away years ago to be replaced by local government complexes. Turner's congregation still lives in a much bigger church at Fairground and the Marietta Parkway, North.

Interesting... by the way, for some reason, I cannot see your last 2 youtube vids. There is a black box on the page and it does nothing when clicked on.

Also noticed more of your posts do not allow a place for comments???

Just keep trying on the videos. one time you go and there is nothing and you leave and come back and there it is. I don't know why. As for as allowing comments this one got by me. I have been trying to check the no comment box on all of them to avoid phony Viagra ads and porno ads. They keep popping up if I leave the gate open, so to speak. I hope soon they will run their course and I can go back accepting comments.
