HUMBUG Christmas Issue 1958

Off and on for a week or so I am going to display parts of HUMBUG magazine, 1958, No 6, Chirstmas issue, of ocurse, showing only the articles pertaining to Christmas. The cover, illustrated by Jack Davis is of course the crafty Scrooge, who made the word HUMBUG a household word. The next page is the inside page that Will Elder illustrated, showing a Christmas scene in a big city, but cleverly, showing a subscription application blank in the background. It must not have worke, they only lasted five more issues. Or course the staff/co-owners of HUMBUG were the ones who created MAD.
