AARRGGGG!

That's me working on me pirate's "AAARRGGGG!!"

It is official, we did the paper work. We set sail to the Bahamas in about a month.

Actually, I am trying to decide should I go as a pirate who sailed the 7 seas; or a suave smooth talking guy who wears a navy blue blazer with white pants that looks like he should be a fixture on the Christina, who knows all about sailing; or maybe the Mississippi River Boat Gambler look. Whacha think?

Definitely Suave Guy.

I once knew a couple who took a yearly week-long cruise, their only extravagance. He had a job in sales; she waited tables and saved her tips. I always wondered what marvelous tales he told on the cruise as to his real life. She didn't put airs, but he loved embroidery, both on the phillipine shirts he wore and in his conversation.

Your mention of the riverboat gambler reminded me of them. He was also a sharp card player. Be careful.

Bird,
So I should be a suave guy? Do I have to change socks to play that role?
I may have told you about this time we were to be taking an Alaskan cruise, but we backed out. We decided on a lesser cruise to see how we could take shipboard life. I still have bad memories taking knees to knees bathroom visits on the USS NEWPORT NEWS.

Jean,
I'm not too worried about losing the deed to the house and the farm at the card table. A few years ago we went to Cherokee, North Carolina to Herrah's (?) Casino on the Cherokee Reservation.
I went to a blackjack computer with the lowest ante and played it. I was so paranoid over losing any money, it took that machine over 90 minutes to beat me out of $10. I was holding on for dear life.
However, I do weekly enjoy the game of chance playing the lottery. I shell out $10 a week for that, but whether I win or lose it is ok, it is like paying the Hope Scholarships back that both my sons got to cash in on.

I vote for the riverboat gambler; sort of a Rhett Butler type....LOL

Now Ed, if you wear a pirates costume, you and Anna will have to actually commandeer the ship. Thats the good news.

The bad news is you have to poke out your eye and saw off your leg.

Judy,
I think I would look cuddly in a Rhett Butler type hat.

Steve,
I was thinking about poking my eye out, but then thought, with an eye-patch, who would know?
However, a peg-prosthesis may be harder to fool people.

Button,
Well, I do have my Aaarggg!!! down pat. Now, if I can learn how to swing on one of those ropes with a long knife clenched in my teeth.
