Bring On the Clown






In the ole days when knighthood was the thing and kings were kings, maidens were maiden, and so on the king had a royal jester.

When the king was depressed or tensed the jester told a one-liner joke; tell a plain false statement;  or did something totally unpredictable that made the king giggle in delight.   It worked well back in the  1200-1400s.

Maybe we now need a professional jester in the White House, just to keep things interesting.

On second thought, never mind.
