Daniel Trammell (1706-1777)

 

This is Daniel Trammell, father of William Trammell (Revolutionary War).

Daniel Trammell [67], son of John Trammell [70] and Mary Garrard Hutt [71], was born about 1706 in , Stafford Co, VA and died on 10 Sep 1777 in , Union Dist , SC about age 71.

Daniel TRAMMELL served in the Cherokee Indian Wars under John Chevillette. He served in Kershaw Co., SC, in 1760, and later in Union Co., SC.

Daniel's Will was dated September 10, 1777, in Union District, South Carolina. Will Book 1774-1779, pg 571, Charleston, SC. It lists the children: John, Daniel, Thomas, Betty Hollingworth wife to Jacob, Garrard, Phillip, Sampson, wife, Elizabeth, Children: William, Isaac, Benjamin, Jesse, Francis, Ann, and Elizabeth. Witnesses: John Sarter and John Peter Sarter.

From land grants: Daniel Trammell had 800 acres of land. 200 aces of this land to Thomas Trammell of the same province and district for 5lbs. current money for the land granted to Daniel Trammell by patent bearing April 2, 1773 by Honorable William Bull Esquire 17th Governor and Commander in Chief. 200 acres on Southwest side of Broad River. Witnesses: William, Elinor Farr, James Adams. Deed Bok C, page 392, Aug 5, 1774.
