It is not known for sure which daughter of Jason and Elizabeth Hunter is Margaret Hunter's mother. It is probably Mary, because of according to Gladys Warren Willis, Margaret's mother married early. There fore ,it is likely that Margaret's mother is probably Mary. Mary may be the most likely, because she was eighteen when Margaret was born.
Margaret's mother died when Margaret was only six years old and her sister, Ida Mae was only four. Margaret (and presumably also her sister Ida Mae) went to live with, and were raised by, her Uncle John and Aunt Amanda.
