One Bench at a Time
Yesterday Monty Calhoun cleaned a bench in Glover Park, in downtown Marietta.
He first put a deck cleaning compound on the wood, then let it sit for a short time, and then with a pressure washer washed it clean.
Jackie Gaskin (opps! I mean Paul Roper) and I were also there to help. We furnished the gossip and small talk. And after the job was completed we also helped Monty lift the pressure washer back into his car.
Did you know the wood on the park benches is a special kind of wood? I didn't retain the full name but the prefix is Cuban. The wood is very hard and durable.
Will Monty paint that one and do some more? Time will tell. Stay tuned.
