Paul Roper is Alive and Almost Well

This picture is a couple years old.  But it is still Paul.  He had a heart attack Saturday, after a day of pulling the weedeater crank cord.  It just plain wore him out, apparently the cord pulled on him instead of visa versa.  After about a day of constant pain  he called 911 and before he could hang up the ambulance was there.

A stent was put in and he went home today.  They went through his arm instead of his crotch.   A new approach.  He went to the GOBAG meeting this evening and seemed fine . . . considering.

Glad Paul made it, odds are good it was very close to happening anyway.

My shoulder was never be the same after years of pulling on mowers, chain saws, etc. My last mower, edger (HOA required edging), weed eater, and chainsaw were all electric, the mower a Black & Decker battery operated. Might take a recharge to finish the whole yard, and it was so quiet. I don't think my should had another pull in it.

At MHS, the three guys that I remember always being together, laughing and fooling around, were Paul Roper, Eddie Hunter and Larry Bradford. Kinda like the Three Musketeers (or Three Stooges?!) Glad to hear Paul is okay. Just a friendly bit of advice, Paul: Hire somebody to do the yard work and go fishing. Janice Grant Barker
