1863 Civil War Battle of Chickamauga, near Chattanooga, Tenn, ends.
Below is Chicamauga illustrated in EC comics' FRONTLINE COMBAT back in the 50s. Editor Harvey Kurtzman probably wrote the story and Jack Davis (Georgia born and fed) illustrated it. As all of FRONTLINE COMBAT's war stories, they tried to be as historically accurate as possible.
