We just watched a video of Amy and Crista of the Marietta
History Museum give a tour of the old Coca Cola Bottling Company building on Roswell Street in Marietta across from the
National Cemetery.
It brought back memories.
We lived in the Clay Homes which is just a hop skip and jump from the building. Daddy was a patrolman, and we did not own a
car.
We bought Coke by the case.
See Frances and me in our only means of transportation? Back then, in the early 40s I would take my
seat in my wagon and Daddy would pull me up the hill on Roswell Street and he
would buy a case of Cokes. Of course, he
put the case of Cokes in the Wagon and I had to walk with him back home.
Those were the days.
