Years ago I read in THE WALL STREET JOURNAL that waiters and waitresses get a more worthy
tip if they speak directly to the person footing the bill and even more so if
it they are opposite sex. And even more so if body contact is made.
Now, there is new gimmick:
According to UNCLE JOHN’S BATHROOM RE4ADER tips get an average 18% boost
if the waiter/waitress puts a smiley face on the bill.
