The Atlantis is an island just beyond a stone's throw of the island Nassau is on. The Atlantis boasts of homes for the rich and famous: It was rumored that Michael Jackson and Ophrey Winfrey had houses on it. It also has world famous chefs and is known for its huge casinos operations. A native of Nassau told us Nassau citizens are not allowed there as a paying guest, only to work.
This huge glass sculpture is by someone famous, I forgot who. The artist has a few works in the gardens of the Atlanta Gardens in Piedmont Park. It was a focal part in a James Bond movie.
When we saw all there were free to see we realized we missed our bus back to Nassau a person told her we could ride via boat over to Nassau for a fair price/ We took him up on it and gave him the money. The boat was an outboard 14 footer, maybe slightly bigger. He kept taking peoples money and they kept piling on. People were just hanging off the sides when we took off to make the water trip, probably slightly longer than a football field. It was one of those trips where I felt like I should get down and kiss the ground when we arrived at our destination.
