On THE TODAY SHOW this morning Al Roaker interviewed Dick Van Dyke, reviewing
Dick’s show biz career. Dick Van Dyke is
95 now and has had a long active career and they seemed to quickly covered bits
of everything he was in.
Well, not everything.
Back before he was a household name he was a member of the MERRY
MUTES. The MERRY MUTES was a mute comedy
group that did quick funny skits at THE WITS END*, *bring money. The leaders of the MERRY MUTES were Phil and
Nancy Erickson, who also owned the WITS END*.
*$
They also had a 15 minute show on local TV.
I remember Dick accentuated his long lank body and apparently
double jointness.
They were a riot.
