Jacob & Polly Hogshead Trammell's last two children:
9. Violet Polina Trammell (1833-1877). I have little information on Violet. She married twice, (1) Calvin J. Phillips and (2) Andrew Jackson Gadberry. She moved to Arkansas.
10. Jacob Vanburen "Van" Trammell (abt 1836 – aft 1880). Pvt. Co.A. 7th Battalion NC Cavalry, CSA; Pvt. Co. e., 65th Regt. NC Troops, (6 Regt NC Cavalry), CSA
Van and his nephew William A. Hunter/Trammell. supposedly killed a Lambert man and fled to Macon Co.

The mail I received years ago told me William Trammell and his brother Van killed a man. Van was actually William's uncle, but they were near the same age, had the same last name of Trammell, so probably some people thought they were bothers.
Van married twice (1) Mary Ann Morgan Macon County, NC, 1960 and they had 3 children and (2)) Cynthia Ann 'Tennie' Addingto, Benton County, Arkansas, 1867, and they had 4 children.
