5. Zylpha Trammell (1825-1916).
Zylpha also had some land dealings with her brother William K. Trammell, and ex-lover Jonathan Ford.. She moved with her sister Caroline to Benton Co., Grande Prairie Township, Arkansas.
Her bastardy court docket is interesting:
March 1847 vs Harry Stalcup
March 1848 vs Jonathan Ford. The defendant confesses judgement for costs and files bond in the sum of $500 to the State to indemnity the County.
March 1849 – Harry Stalcup B.H. Stalcup to pay $20 down, $20 in 12 months and $20 in 2 more year
March 1852 – Jonathan Ford.
Unless there 2nd case was a continuation of the first case, it appears that Harry Stalcup and Jonathan Ford did not learn their lesson the first time, so they came back for seconds.
