Do you ever look at the SNUFFY SMITH comics in the papers?
It started out as BARNEY GOOGLE by Billie Dee Beck in 1919. Then Snuffy was added and it became BARNEY GOOGLE AND SNUFFY SMITH.
Then Barney was dropped. That is just business mergers isn't it?
Barney was a city slicker with a donkey named Sparkplug. That is about all I know about him.
Back then Snuffy was shiftless and had no ethics.
Boy has he changed! His looks, anyway.

It is the hamburger lobby, for sure. Wasn 't he always shown eating a 'burger?

I don't know if Barney Google was known for eating hamburgers or not. However, he looks a lot like Wimpy in Popeye who is known for eating hamburgers.

Need to go down and get a hamburger at the Diner and eat it in remembrance
