Marietta Scene at Larry Bell Park
Back in the
day this granite stone building was used to store dynamite. Groover Hardware had the keys. Gene Groover remembered helping his
grandfather, the owner of hardware company to load the explosions into the building.
I think the County Work Farm was just a
stone's throw away... or a stick of dynamite 's throw away.
When I was
growing up, from our front yard it was in plain view next to the Softball field.
