Postcard Collection. Pikes Peak at
Sunrise. It says Pikes Peak is
American's most famous mountain. On the
back it goes on to say some people are lucky enough to see Pikes Peak at
sunrise in a sea of clouds.
I wonder who
Pike is? I take it the real name of the
summit is not Pikes Peak but Pike's Peak, as to show that Pike owned it. Was Pike jealous and resentful because his property was famous but not him?
