1956 OLYMPIAN - Advertisers Introduction
You could have gone without seeing this picture. It is, of course, one picture that takes two pages to give it justice. No one is in to be recognized and bring up old memories. But it is just a good black and white night shot of old Marietta. In the background you can see the old Cobb County Courthouse.
It is just the kind of night you would see me, a few years before, rush out of the Strand Theater or Cobb Theater after seeing a scary movie and quickly running by every moon shadow. And down Atlanta Street, still sprinting by every shadow and turning onto East Dixie Avenue.

Atlanta street was 2ways then. The Court House had it's steple and there were parking meters in the parking spaces.

No parking decks either.
