Good Old Boys & Good Young Girls Met & Ate

The Good Old Boys & Good Young Girls Ate a Living Thing.

Monty fed the multitudes last night with pancakes and sausage. The pancake batter was special. It was a living organism. Like a giant amoeba, when Monty opened the container the batter started to crawl out and make a run for it.

Chef Monty knew what to do: Get the batter back on the griddle and cook it until it stopped squirming. The pancakes and sausages were delicious.

I know this seems a bit odd, but while taking some pictures I saw Mark McGee sitting at the table. I thought he was on the other side of the world. People were talking about how nice the breeze was in that certain spot and Mark said, “If you want hot, go to India!”

I think someone stole Mark's mustache.

At our age, approaching 70, an increasingly number of our friends die weekly. It is a fact: 100% of old people die. No other age group has such a high percentage of deaths. We are a loosely knit bunch of old high school friends and acquaintances who come together on Tuesdays drink a beer and break bread - because we made it to another Tuesday!

Judy,
Some left and after they retired returned. And they are us who stayed... like a home guard.
