Picking on the Dead
This is Anna’s father’s mother’s family. Anna’s grandmother is a baby in the picture.
They might look mean but they were not. The men folk were hardworking farmers and the women were busy raising a family and making everything from scratch. They prayed and visited on Sunday.
Everybody in the picture is now dead. Most of them are buried in Enon Cemetery, north of nearby Woodstock.
Last week I saw on the news that Enon Cemetery was vandalized. Tombstones were turned over and even one grave was dug up and the occupant stolen. They said the body stolen had been dead about 100 years.
What would anybody want with a body that has been dead for a century?

I don't even want to think about what they would want with it....EW!
The news reported that the body was dug up either on the person's birthdate or deathdate - I forgot which, but that is even more strange.
